The One-Year Regular LL.M. in Construction Law, Contracts & Arbitration is designed to meet the evolving needs of legal professionals in India and beyond. About the LL.M. in Construction Law, Contracts & Arbitration
This specialised programme addresses the complex legal, contractual, and dispute resolution challenges that arise in construction and infrastructure projects. It focuses on contractual drafting, interpretation, dispute avoidance, and efficient resolution through arbitration. The curriculum includes courses such as Advanced Contractual Interpretation, Construction Law in India, FIDIC Contracts, Delays and Damages, and Evidentiary Practices in Arbitration. By blending doctrinal learning with case studies, policy roundtables, and industry engagement, the programme ensures graduates emerge with the skills to critically analyse, advocate, and manage construction disputes effectively.
Course Structure

The programme is structured across three trimesters with core courses, electives, a dissertation, and an international research tour.

Trimester 1 Research Methodology (3 credits); Advanced Contractual Interpretation (2 credits); Arbitration in the Indian Context (2 credits); Construction Law & Dynamics of Contractual Relationships in India (2 credits).
Trimester 2 Law and Justice in a Globalised World (3 credits); Practice of FIDIC Contracts (2 credits); Delay, Disruption and Damages (2 credits); Leading Evidence in a Construction Arbitration (2 credits); International Research Tour (2 credits).
Trimester 3 Comparative Public Law (3 credits); Dissertation/Capstone Project (5 credits) with supervised research; Optional apprenticeships.
International Research Tour Mandatory 1–2 week exposure abroad to arbitration hubs, legal institutions, and foreign law firms.
