With ESG compliance, sustainable finance, and carbon market frameworks rapidly shaping corporate governance, the School of Law, Dhirubhai Ambani University has formalised a strategic collaboration with Dhir & Dhir Associates—the first Indian law firm to establish a dedicated ESG Practice Desk. The partnership aims to bridge academia and industry in developing cutting-edge legal and policy expertise for a climate-conscious future.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in Mumbai by Prof. (Dr.) Avinash Dadhich, Founding Director, DAU School of Law, and Dr. Sonal Verma, Senior Partner (ESG) & Global Leader – Markets & Strategy at Dhir & Dhir Associates. This collaboration was initiated through the efforts of Dr. Manuj Bhardwaj, Founding Faculty and Head of the School of Law’s Executive Education Programme.
At the heart of this partnership is the Executive Development Programme (EDP) on ESG, Carbon Markets & Sustainability (20 September – 14 December 2025). As India’s first integrated programme of its kind, it will combine legal, policy, and commercial perspectives to prepare professionals for leadership in the emerging ESG ecosystem.
Through curriculum co-development, expert-led teaching, and co-certification, Dhir & Dhir will ensure the programme reflects both academic depth and industry relevance. Participants will benefit from case studies, legal drafting labs, policy simulations, and insights from leading Indian and international experts.
This initiative marks a step forward in building capacity for the climate transition and advancing legal and strategic leadership in sustainability practices—further aligning with national and global commitments to a just and green transition.
