Prof. Niteesh Kumar Upadhyay Showcases Innovative Approaches to Legal Education at GAJE International Conference in Warsaw

The Global Alliance for Justice Education (GAJE) International Conference, hosted at Lazarski University in Warsaw, Poland, brought together legal educators and practitioners from around the world to advance the cause of justice-oriented pedagogy. Among the key contributors was Prof. Niteesh Kumar Upadhyay, Associate Professor of Law at Dhirubhai Ambani University – School of Law, who presented three thought-provoking papers on reimagining legal education for contemporary challenges.

His presentations included:

  • Legal Clinics, SDGs and Beyond – examining the role of clinical education as a driver of justice and sustainable development.
  • Breaking Stereotypes: Leveraging Online Campaigns to Promote Gender, Elderly and Children’s Rights – demonstrating the power of digital advocacy in empowering marginalized groups.
  • Incorporating Riddles in Legal Education – introducing creative and problem-solving approaches to nurture adaptive thinking in law students.

In addition, Prof. Upadhyay participated in the Training of Trainers (ToT) Programme, further strengthening his commitment to participatory and practice-driven legal education.

A long-standing member of the GAJE community, Prof. Upadhyay has previously contributed to its global conferences in South Africa, Turkey, and Indonesia. His continued involvement underscores his dedication to shaping future-ready legal education and reinforcing Dhirubhai Ambani University – School of Law’s presence in global academic dialogues on law, pedagogy, and social justice.
