We are pleased to share that Prof (Dr) Avinash Dadhich, Founding Director of School of Law – Dhirubhai Ambani University, was invited to speak as a Panelist at the 8th GNLU International Conference on Law and Economic Analysis of Ethics, Inclusiveness, and Sustainability, held at Gujarat National Law University (GNLU), organized by their Centre for Law and Economics in collaboration with the Centre for Trade and Investment Law (CTIL).
As a panelist at the session on “The Impact of Emerging Technologies on International Trade,” Prof. (Dr.) Dadhich highlighted how emerging digital technologies such as AI, blockchain, and IoT are reshaping global commerce by streamlining cross-border transactions, enhancing supply chain transparency, and transforming trade finance. These advancements, however, bring pressing legal and geopolitical challenges. Thus, he emphasized the need for harmonized international regulations to address these challenges, especially pertaining to thorny questions related to AI ethics, intellectual property, and the growing complexities of decentralized finance. Finally, he addressed the critical link between emerging technologies and sustainability, noting how innovations in green technologies are creating new trade dynamics and policy debates, particularly around the responsibilities of developed and developing nations under international climate agreements.
At Dhirubhai Ambani University – School of Law, we are proud to be part of such impactful conversations on the future of international trade, law, and technology. We thank Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar, the Centre for Law and Economics and Centre for Trade and Investment Law for this opportunity and look forward to continuing to contribute to such discussions of contemporary and global significance.
