Shri Kanwaljeet Arora joins the Dhirubhai Ambani University – School of Law as Honorary Professor of Law, bringing over three decades of distinguished service in the Indian judiciary. A seasoned jurist known for his integrity, fairness, and administrative acumen, Shri Arora has served in some of the most critical judicial and institutional roles within Delhi’s justice system.
He began his judicial career with the Delhi Judicial Service in 1992, and was elevated to the Delhi Higher Judicial Service in 2006. Over the course of his illustrious career, he presided over several high-stakes courts, including the CBI Court, Sessions Court, and MACT Courts. As Special Judge (CBI), he handled numerous complex and sensitive corruption trials involving senior government officials and political leaders, earning wide respect for his judicial discipline, balance, and commitment to due process.
Beyond his courtroom responsibilities, Shri Arora has made enduring contributions to access-to-justice initiatives. As Member Secretary of the Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA), he led programs designed to make justice more accessible to vulnerable and marginalized communities, embodying the constitutional vision of equality before the law. His final posting was as Principal District & Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, CBI at the Rouse Avenue Court Complex, where he continued to serve with distinction until his retirement.
At the Dhirubhai Ambani University – School of Law, Shri Arora will draw upon his vast judicial experience and public service to guide students and professionals in understanding the practical and ethical dimensions of adjudication, criminal justice, and governance. His mentorship will be instrumental in shaping future-ready legal minds grounded in integrity, compassion, and the pursuit of justice.
