Mr. Sanjay Notani is a Partner and Co-Head of the International Trade & Customs practice at Economic Laws Practice (ELP), one of India’s leading law firms. With over two decades of experience, he has advised and represented domestic manufacturers, multinational corporations, exporters, and trade associations in complex trade remedy litigation, WTO disputes, and customs-related matters. His practice spans anti-dumping, countervailing, and safeguard duty cases, alongside advisory on Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), Regional Trade Agreements (RTAs), and export control regimes.

Beyond litigation, Mr. Notani has developed significant expertise in guiding clients through customs compliance, valuation, classification, country-of-origin rules, and export-import controls across diverse industries such as pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, energy, and consumer goods. Recognised in leading rankings including Chambers Asia-Pacific, Legal 500, and Lexology’s “Global Elite Thought Leaders” in Trade & Customs, he has also contributed to global dialogues on trade law through his active roles in the American Bar Association (ABA), Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA), Customs & International Trade Bar Association (CITBA), and the Society of Indian Law Firms (SILF).
