In a pioneering move to advance legal education and industry collaboration, the School of Law at Dhirubhai Ambani University (DAU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Society of Construction Law, India (SCL India), marking it as the first law school in India to formalize such a partnership. The signing ceremony took place on June 7, 2025, at the Taj Palace, New Delhi, heralding a new era of academic-industry integration in the field of construction law and arbitration.
The MoU was signed by Prof (Dr) Avinash Dadhich, Founding Director of DAU School of Law, and Mr. Ratan K. Singh, Founding Chairman of SCL India. The event was graced by key figures, including Dr. Niteesh Kumar Upadhyay, Faculty Lead for Construction Law & Arbitration at DAU School of Law, Mr. Ajit Kumar Mishra, Head of Contract Management (ED) at Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited, and Ms. Mehak Oberoi, Legal Head (Hydro – APAC) at GE Vernova.
