Vasanthika Srinath is an Attorney, having started her practice over 22 years ago. After 8 years of practice in Mumbai and Bengaluru, she moved in-house, setting up and leading legal and compliance functions at various companies, predominantly in the IT space. While serving as the General Counsel of Minacs, it was acquired by Concentrix, and she set up the Head of Compliance at Concentrix in 2015. With the advent of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union (EU), she moved into the position of Data Protection Officer (DPO) at GDPR, helping guide the company through the new Data Protection and Privacy regime as well as helming the ship during the introduction of Artificial Intelligence and related regulations.
Having instituted a framework in place to ensure ethical and responsible AI design at Concentrix, she left the company in December 2023 to start Kosmos Partners, where she is Founding Partner. She is also a Fellow of Information Privacy at IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals), has been a member of the Steering Committee – In House Counsel Expert Forum of the ACC (Association of Corporate Counsels) and the Governing Council of the Foundation of Data Protection Professionals in India.
