Srividhya Raghavan

Prof. Srividhya Raghavan is a Professor of Law at Texas A&M University School of Law and serves as the Faculty Director for the School’s India Program. Her research primarily focuses on international trade law and intellectual property. Her monograph Patents and Trade Disparities in Developing Countries was published by Oxford University Press, and she also co-edited Diversity in Intellectual Property with Irene Calboli, published by Cambridge University Press.

Prof. Raghavan has written extensively on intellectual property law, traditional knowledge, pharmaceutical patenting, and agricultural subsidies. Her expertise is frequently highlighted in Indian media outlets such as The Hindu Business Line, The Hindu, DNA, LiveMint, and All India Radio. She has also represented India’s interests before the US International Trade Commission and at the Office of the US Trade Representative on access to medication issues.

Prof. Srividhya Raghavan holds a BA LLB (Honors) from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore, where she earned a merit certificate. She received the ODASS Scholarship to pursue an LL.M at King’s College, London, and later completed her SJD at George Washington University Law School. Raghavan was also the first Texas Instruments Visiting Scholar at the Center for Advanced Study & Research on Intellectual Property, University of Washington, Seattle.
