Keerthana Medarametla

Keerthana is a distinguished legal professional with a rich background in law, research, and community engagement. She currently serves as Senior Curator at Agami , focusing on transforming India’s dispute resolution ecosystem. Keerthana’s journey in academics includes a BA.LLB from National Law University, Delhi and an LL.M from Harvard Law School , where she explored the relationship between gender, law, criminal law and human rights, and socio-economic development. Her research work has been published in esteemed journals, including the Socio-Legal Review at National Law School of India University, Bangalore .

Before her current role, she led the 2022 edition of the Agami Prize, recognizing innovations in law and justice. Keerthana has also contributed to academia as a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Constitutional Law, Policy and Governance at NLU Delhi, leading research on processes and backlogs for undertrials and convicts charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (NDPS Act).

Reflecting on her new role, Keerthana shared, ” Over the last few years, I’ve had the opportunity to engage with diverse students, innovators, and changemakers to explore possibilities for the field of law and justice. We’re at a critical inflection point where many of our ways of working will soon change. Looking forward to engaging with students and the university on these dimensions through this Fellowship!
